Map of Bruges

Bruges is the capital of West Flanders, a city of canals whose medieval centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Two breweries welcome visitors inside the old town: De Halve Maan, on the Walplein, and Bourgogne des Flandres, on the Wollestraat, close to the Markt.

Both charge 16 euros for an adult for a guided tour, with a beer at De Halve Maan and a tasting at Bourgogne des Flandres. The tour lasts about 45 minutes at De Halve Maan and an hour and a quarter at Bourgogne des Flandres.

Practical notes

  • The old centre is compact and easy to walk. Both breweries are inside it.
  • Bruges station is south of the centre, a walk or a bus ride away.
