The Lyon Street Food Festival is a four-day festival of street food, concerts and workshops, run by a Lyon company, Nomad Kitchens. They also say they plan a programme each year for children as well as adults.

Lyon Street Food Festival 2027

The 11th edition is set for Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 June 2027. The venue for 2027 had not been published when this page was checked, on 29 September 2026. The 10th edition, from 11 to 14 June 2026, took place at the Grandes Locos, 10 Rue Gabriel Péri, in La Mulatière, on the south-western edge of Lyon.

Tickets

According to the organiser, a ticket gives access to all the concerts, workshops and activities on the day of your visit. In 2026 the standard ticket, the default price for anyone over 14, cost 10 euros. Prices for 2027 had not been published when this page was checked.

What to eat

  • Cuisines from everywhere. The festival’s theme is street food from all cuisines, so expect a wide spread of stands rather than one regional menu.
  • Lyonnais dishes to look for. Quenelles, light dumplings often served in a crayfish sauce, saucisson brioché, a sausage baked in brioche, cervelle de canut, a herbed fresh cheese, and the pink praline tart.
  • Lyon’s own food, the rest of the weekend. Lyon is a city of bouchons, small restaurants serving Lyonnais cooking, and of Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse, the covered market for cheese, charcuterie and pastries.

When to come

The festival runs from Thursday to Sunday.

Getting there

Lyon Part-Dieu is less than two hours from Paris on the fastest TGVs, and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport is linked to it by the Rhônexpress tram. Between meals, Fourvière hill and Vieux Lyon, the Renaissance old town, are the classic sights. For the venue, check the official site once the 2027 location is announced. The 2026 site in La Mulatière was a short trip from the city centre.

Where to stay and budget

The Presqu’île, between the Rhône and the Saône, and the area around Part-Dieu are practical bases. For a day at the festival, budget the ticket (10 euros per person over 14 in 2026), the food you choose at the stands, and transport.

Combine with

In July 2027, Bordeaux Fête le Vin returns to the quays of Bordeaux from 7 to 11 July. North of Lyon, the Beaujolais village of Beaujeu celebrates the new vintage at Les Sarmentelles in November (18 to 22 November in 2026). The guide also lists a food tour in Paris, less than two hours away on the fastest trains.
