Two editions ahead
The organisers have published their dates two years in advance, for 2027 and 2028. Their site says the festival has been held on the first full weekend in May since 1960.
What to eat in Breaux Bridge
Crawfish is the town’s dish: boiled by the pound with corn and potatoes, or cooked into étouffée, a stew served over rice, and bisque. Boudin, the Cajun sausage of pork and rice, is sold across Acadiana, the Cajun country around Lafayette. Cajun music, with accordion and fiddle, and zydeco, its Creole cousin, are the sounds of the region.
