Guinness Storehouse and whiskey tours in Dublin
Three drink visits in Dublin compared: the Guinness Storehouse from 24 euros on its booking page (26 for an adult in its FAQ), Teeling Whiskey Distillery at 22 euros and the Irish Whiskey Museum at 23 euros.
Dublin is known for two drinks: Guinness, the dry stout brewed at St. James’s Gate since 1759, and Irish whiskey. Three visits are compared here, all with something to taste at the end: the Guinness Storehouse, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery and the Irish Whiskey Museum. Entry costs 22 to 24 euros per person on the booking pages, as read on 29 September 2026. The Guinness FAQ puts adult tickets from 26 euros. Visits last 45 to 90 minutes.
The three visits side by side
| Visit | Format | Price | Length | What you taste |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guinness Storehouse | self-guided, seven floors | from 24 euros per person (26 euros for an adult in the FAQ) | about 90 minutes | a Guinness or a Guinness 0.0 at the Gravity Bar |
| Teeling Whiskey Distillery | guided tour | 22 euros per person | about 45 minutes | Teeling Small Batch and a seasonal whiskey cocktail |
| Irish Whiskey Museum | guided Classic Tour, 28 people at most | 23 euros per adult | 1 hour | three Irish whiskeys |
- Guinness Storehouse. The standard ticket, the Guinness Storehouse Experience, is a self-guided visit through seven floors at St. James’s Gate, Dublin 8, ending with a pint at the Gravity Bar. The booking page shows it from 24 euros per person and an average time of 90 minutes. The higher tickets add extras. The site’s FAQ gives a different figure: adult tickets generally start from 26 euros, with prices that vary by date and time, a child ticket (ages 5 to 17) at 10 euros, and free entry for children under 4. The FAQ does not say which ticket applies to a 4-year-old: ask before booking. Audio guides are offered in English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
- Teeling Whiskey Distillery. A fully guided tour of the distillery, with a sample of Teeling Small Batch and a handcrafted seasonal whiskey cocktail, for 22 euros. A non-alcoholic option is available on request at reception. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and the distillery suggests allowing at least an hour for the visit.
- Irish Whiskey Museum. The Classic Tour is a one-hour guided tour with three whiskey tastings, for groups of 28 at most. The price table names 23 euros for an adult, 21 euros for students and seniors and 10 euros for children. The same page also shows “From €25 p/p” on its booking card, so check the price when you book. Children and adults who do not drink get a soft drink.
How to choose
- For beer, or a first visit to Dublin, the Storehouse is the classic, and the view from the Gravity Bar comes with the ticket.
- For a distillery visit, Teeling offers a guided tour of its distillery, with a sample of Teeling Small Batch.
- For a broad view of Irish whiskey, the museum tastes three of them in an hour, with a guide.
- With children. The Storehouse has no age limit, but under-18s cannot drink or buy alcohol, including Guinness 0.0, and must come with an adult aged 18 or over. The museum has a child rate and gives children a soft drink.
Practical tips for Guinness Storehouse
- Check your slot’s price. Storehouse prices vary with the date and time, so check the price for your slot when you book.
- Two visits in a day. The visits are short, and the Storehouse and Teeling both sit in the Liberties, west of the centre: check each operator’s time slots before you plan two in one day.
- Prices change. The figures here were read on the operators’ own sites on 29 September 2026. Resellers may charge differently.
Budget
For one adult, the Storehouse and one whiskey tour together cost 48 to 49 euros at the FAQ’s adult price of 26 euros (plus 22 or 23 euros), or 46 to 47 euros if the booking page’s 24 euros applies on your date.
Combine with
For another beer city, Bruges, in Belgium, has two brewery tours in its old centre, at 16 euros each.
