The Saint-Vincent Tournante is the yearly festival of Burgundy’s winegrowers, held at the end of January in honour of Saint Vincent, their patron saint. It has been celebrated since 22 January 1938, and it “turns”: each year a different wine village, or a group of villages, hosts it. In 2026 it was in Maranges, on 24 and 25 January. In 2027 it moves to Volnay, a village of the Côte de Beaune known for its red wines.
The 2027 edition in Volnay

|---|---|
| Festival | Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January 2027 |
| Banquets | Friday 22, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 January 2027 |
| Village | Volnay, Côte-d’Or |
The festival is organised by a committee set up for the 2027 edition, a registered association whose address is the Place de la Mairie, Volnay. On the two festival days, the whole village is given over to wine: tasting cellars and the parade of the wine brotherhoods (confréries). Three banquets take place around them, the last on Saturday 30 January 2027. See the official site for how to book.
The banquets
The organisers prepare three banquets, which they present as meetings of fine cuisine and Volnay’s terroirs:
- “Saint-Vincent” on Friday 22 January 2027.
- “Elégance Rare” on Friday 29 January 2027.
- “Héritage Vivant” on Saturday 30 January 2027.
What to taste
- Volnay’s red wines. Pinot Noir is the grape of the village, and the tasting cellars are, in the organisers’ words, the heart of the sharing at the festival.
- The rest of the Côte de Beaune. Beaune, Pommard and Meursault are close by: the weekend is a good way into the reds and whites of the area.
Practical tips for the Saint-Vincent Tournante
- Check how tastings are sold. The official site is the place to read how access to the tasting cellars works and what it costs for 2027.
- Dress for January. The festival takes place outdoors and between cellars, in winter: warm shoes and layers.
- Getting there. Volnay is a few kilometres south-west of Beaune, which has the nearest railway station. Plan a taxi, a shuttle if the organisers announce one, or a driver who skips the tastings.
Where to stay and budget
Look for rooms in Beaune, and book early for the festival weekend. Add the banquet price if you book one, and the cost of the tastings once the organisers publish it.

In November, Beaune holds the weekend of the Hospices de Beaune wine auction (13 to 15 November 2026): two trips to the same area, one in autumn and one in winter.
