What to taste in Paris

  • The baguette, whose craft has been on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage since 2022, and the croissant.
  • French cheese: Comté, Brie and the goat cheeses of the Loire.
  • Pastries and chocolate from the city’s pâtisseries.
  • Falafel on Rue des Rosiers, in the heart of Le Marais.

Rue Montorgueil, one of the two areas of the Secret Food Tours walk, is a pedestrian street lined with food shops, bakeries and cafés.

Combine with the Salon du Chocolat

The Salon du Chocolat, the chocolate fair of Paris, is open to the public from 28 October to 1 November 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. A Pastries & Chocolates tour in town and a day at the fair make a chocolate weekend.
