Dishes by New Orleans chefs
At the Grand Tasting, food is served by “New Orleans Finest Chefs”, well-known and up-and-coming.
Local flavour, new creations
The organiser’s menus mix local flavour with new creations inspired by diverse cuisines.
Creole and Cajun classics
Gumbo, jambalaya and po’boys, the city’s own dishes.
NOWFE Week, the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, puts wine tastings and chefs’ menus on the June calendar of a city the organiser describes as best at “eating and drinking”. In its own words, the festival has become one of the most celebrated culinary events in the nation, “attracting gourmands and connoisseurs”.
Eating and drinking for a good cause
The organiser is a non-profit, and the week raises money for the city.

The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience Grand Tasting
In 2026 the Grand Tasting, on the Saturday afternoon, was held at the Morial Convention Center from 3 pm to 6 pm, with VIP guests inside from 2:30 pm.
Novice wine drinkers are welcome: the organiser presents the tasting as a way to find out which styles, varieties and price ranges you like.
Gala, competition and 10Best
The organiser’s site also lists a wine competition and the Ella Brennan Award Gala, named after the New Orleans restaurateur.
